Antrobus House Grade II Internal refurbishment and upgrade

Built in an early Georgian style, Antrobus house is a grade II listed building. Construction works started in 1924 and opened in 1925 as a village hall in memory of the son of the Antrobus family who lost his life in the Great War.

In recent years, the property had become worn and many major functions to the building needed urgent repair. The guardians of Antrobus house decided to carry out a full upgrade to the property. This included a replacement to the heating system, a refurbishment to the internal of the building, included removal of asbestos, new Parquet flooring to the main hall, installation of a commercial kitchen, new lay out and upgrade of the toilet facilities and installation of a new external metal fire escape the rear of the building.   SPS carried out a large proportion of the works with their own direct work force, using traditional techniques to ensure everything was in keeping with the characteristics and charm that the Antrobus House holds.

SPS project management team also managed specialist sub-contractors over the course of the works including the installation of a commercial kitchen and the removal of a large amount of Asbestos containing material within the fabric of the building.

The building was delivered on time on budget to a high standard and without any accidents of incidents.
